'ARNOUX'
Arguably the fastest Formula 1 driver never to win a world championship, Rene Arnoux was quiet and retiring in an era of outlandish extroverts. However, his temperament had no bearing on his ability to tame the mighty turbo-era Renaults or take unpopular decisions to win races.
In ‘ARNOUX’, the artist has captured the early promise of Arnoux’s first season driving for the Renault team. While the aging Renault RS01 (pictured) proved unreliable, Arnoux didn’t fail to impress. Later that year, when the RS01 had been replaced by the RS10, Arnoux starred in one of the most epic battles the sport has ever seen – thrilling spectators at the French Grand Prix with a dramatic game of cat and mouse with Gilles Villeneuve for second place.
‘ARNOUX’ is presented as an original 800mm x 600mm print on aluminium in a limited edition of 25 pieces, signed and numbered by the artist. Also available as a 300mm x 200mm print on aluminium.
